Education
Occupational Therapists have to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree, as well as a Graduate Degree and pass their board exam to become registered. OTs also complete multiple field work experiences prior to graduation, which enables them to decide what areas they love the most - but a lot of OTs work with many different populations.
Who We Treat
Our owner has 15 years of experience working with patients over 65 years old - the last 10 years have been in the Home Care setting. In addition to this, she has helped many caregivers - spouses, children, and friends - navigate their loved ones needs and has prepared them to assist with the care needed in their specific situations.
How We Can Help
We love all aspects of Occupational Therapy - which really encapsulates all aspects of your daily living, but our owner has a passion for helping older adults to Age in Place. This could include recommending some modifications or equipment to their own home or increasing their balance or functional strength to reduce the risk of falls for people living in Assisted Living spaces. We are also very experienced in caregiver education and love to help problem solve everyday issues!
What is mobile “out-patient” therapy and who pays for it?
Mobile out-patient therapy simply means we come to you! It’s just like Home Care therapy after a hospitalization…but you don’t need to be hospitalized to access your Medicare Part B benefit. We will verify your insurance and any co-insurance you may have. Typically, visits are fully covered, but you may have a co-pay, just as if you went to an out-patient clinic. Co-pays are due at time of service.
We are not in-network with any other Insurance providers at this time, but are happy to provide you with a SuperBill to see if you can be reimbursed. Private pay options are available, starting at $25/15 minute increments, with a 30 minute minimum visit time. Caregiver consultations and home safety recommendations for caregivers are also available on a sliding scale, depending on the need for continued services. Please contact me for more details.
